Welcome to the next generation of Arkansas GIS!

The Arkansas GIS Users Forum is a group of individuals that work to develop, publish, distribute and use spatial information to help you get where you are going, know where you have been, or know what’s happening around you. We come from many venues including state agencies, Federal agencies, county and local governments, and the private sector. Some of us work daily to ensure that the ambulance takes the best route to your location; route pipelines to avoid damaging your property; determine where to locate a fire station to provide the best service to the people it will serve; and many, many other functions. Others of us use GIS less frequently or with less dire consequences, but we all use this very valuable tool to add a spatial component to our work. So, you don’t think you know what we do. Have you viewed your house from the air on a web site or used a free Arkansas Highway Map from AHTD? Then you’ve used products generated by our members.
